Scholarship Given in memory of Past President

The Des Moines chapter of Executive Women International recently awarded a $5,000 scholarship to Meredith Hendricks, a senior at Waukee High School. The scholarship was created and awarded in memory of Melissa Hendricks, a past president of the chapter and mother of Meredith.

The organization raised funds for the scholarship through a holiday flower sale, and through proceeds from a silent auction and a not-so-silent auction that were held at the December chapter meeting.

Jim Thomas donated his services as the auctioneer.
