The Des Moines Chapter of Executive Women International is accepting applications through April 1 for financial assistance through its Adult Students in Scholastic Transition program, which provides financial support and guidance to adults who want to further their education or careers, but face obstacles such as financial need or single parenthood. The Des Moines Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) is hosting a Lunch and Learn Seminar on Thursday, April 29, at the Renaissance Savery Hotel from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to hear Deborah Rinner of Tero International, Inc. give her presentation, "Outclass Your Competition" covering Business Etiquette – the "business intelligence" and networking skills needed to form lasting business relationships.

Proceeds from the seminar will support the EWI scholarship fund and our local philanthropic projects including the Youth Emergency Services and Shelter and the Reading Rally. Past projects include the Young Women's Resource Center and the Ruth Harbor Home.

Scholarship Program Seeks Applicants

The Des Moines Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) is announcing financial aid availability in their Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) Program.

The program is designed to provide financial support and guidance to adults in the community who would like to advance in their education or careers but face obstacles such as financial need or single parenthood.

The group plans to award a total of $3,000 in financial grants. Applications will be accepted through April 15, 2003. For information, call Irene Hickl 515-248-9034.
